TRANSPORT 6. TRANSPORT WARNING Before transporting the machine or storing it indoors, allow the engine to cool down to avoid burns and the risk of fire. If the machine is moved to a different location, even for a short distance, the engine must be turned off. It must also be ensured that people are not endangered by the machine tipping over or slipping or by machine parts flying up or down.
TRANSPORT DANGER After transporting the machine in a horizontal position, it must be put back upright to allow the oil to flow back to the engine. This process can take up to 5 minutes until the oil level is restored to normal. 6.1.
TRANSPORT COMMISSIONING DANGER If possible, store the machine in an upright position and secure it against tipping over. If this is not possible, lay the rammer down as shown in the illustration on page 16. If this precaution is not taken, engine oil may enter the cylinder, combustion chamber or air filter, causing starting difficulties.
COMMISSIONING 7.2 Lubrication of the engine A NOTICE The engine oil must be topped up before the first use! Incorrect oil filling can lead to irreparable damage to the engine. In this case, the seller and manufacturer will not provide any warranty.
COMMISSIONING 7.4 Before commissioning Place the vibratory rammer upright on a firm, level surface to ensure proper lubrication of the motor. Before starting, check: • the engine oil level • lubrication of the tamping system • the fuel level – the tank should be at least half full •...
