ASSEMBLY

Mounting the second tow bar holder

For the attachment of the Ski & Hike Set, two tow bar holders are required on the trailer.


If you own a Kidgoo Pro or Kidgoo 2019, the attachment of the second tow bar holder is not necessary, because it is already pre-assembled.

What you need:

Kidgoo & Sportrex

  • Loosen the three screw connections opposite the existing tow bar holder.
  • Put the three nuts aside. They are no longer needed.
  • Remove the frame connecting plate on the bottom of the frame.


Please make sure that the tow bar holder is mounted the right way round. The side openings of the tow bar holder must point outwards.

  • Hold the tow bar holder to the lower frame.
  • Insert all three screws from above through the tow bar holder and slightly tighten the middle screw (torque 6 - 8 Nm).
  • Tighten the outer screws using the provided nuts and a size 10 socket wrench (torque 14 Nm).

Speedkid

  • Loosen the three screw connections opposite the existing tow bar holder.
  • Put the outer screws aside. They are no longer needed.


Please make sure that the tow bar holder is mounted the right way round. The side openings of the tow bar holder must point outwards.

  • Hold the tow bar holder to the lower frame.
  • Insert the two supplied screws through the outer holes and one of the previously loosened screws through the middle hole of the tow bar holder.
  • Tighten the middle screw slightly (torque 6 Nm).
  • Tighten the outer screws using the previously loosened nuts and a size 10 socket wrench (torque 14 Nm).

  1. Press and hold the push buttons on the wheels and pull them off.

  2. Mount the buggy wheel and activate the straight run as described in the user manual of your Qeridoo.

Attaching the skis

  1. Press and hold the push buttons of the skis and insert them into the holder.

Mounting the guide rods

Guide rod FS1R (right)

  1. Insert the guide rod FS1R with pressed button into the right-hand tow bar holder.

  2. The guide rod is only properly secured when the locking bolt locks.

Guide rod FS1L (left)

  1. Pull out the locking button on the left tow bar holder and insert the guide rod with pressed button into the left tow bar holder.

  2. The guide rod is only properly secured when the locking bolt and the locking button lock.

Mounting the extension rods

  1. Insert one extension rod each into the right and left guide rod.

  2. Both holes of the rods must be on top of each other.

  3. Select the desired length by choosing the connecting holes in the rods.

12-14. Secure the connection of the two rods with the corresponding clamps KL.

Putting on the hip belt

  1. Stand with your back to the trailer, into the hip belt.
  2. Close the belt buckle.
  3. Adjust the abdominal belt to your proportions by pulling or loosening both straps.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

  • Heavy stains should be removed immediately if possible.
  • Maintain all sliding or moving parts with silicone spray.
  • Wipe the entire Ski & Hike Set dry.


For cleaning, use only water and domestic care agents such as detergents and textile care products, soft cloths or impregnation and silicone spray. Do not use any sharp edged tools or cleaning agents with a scouring effect. Cleaning agents containing acids and solvents are also not permitted.

Storage

  • After each use, make sure to store the Ski & Hike Set neither damp nor dirty.

This user manual refers exclusively to the Ski & Hike Set. Get all information about the operation of the trailer from the corresponding user manual.

  • Read the user manual completely.
  • Utilise the user manual to provide instruction for all users.
  • Always keep the user manual close to the Ski & Hike Set.

The Ski & Hike Set is not a toy and must not be misused as such

Users

  • Users are defined as the following persons:
    • Any person carrying out assembly work on the vehicle or changing the settings.
    • The operator in ski or hike mode, and all other permitted modes.
  • The user must be at least 16 years old and mentally mature enough to operate the trailer and transport children.
  • The user is at all times responsible for the proper use and road-worthiness of the Ski & Hike Set.


The Ski & Hike Set may not be pulled by a snowmobile or other motorized vehicles or animals.

Conditions of use

  • Before each use, check that all screws are firmly tightened.
  • Before each use of the Ski & Hike Set, make sure that the vehicle is in a proper and a technically perfect condition.
  • Inform yourself additionally about specific rules and regulations regarding traffic in your country, if you want to make trips abroad with the trailer and Ski & Hike Set.
  • Before every journey, make sure that the requirements for the particular mode have been fulfilled.
  • Close the insect protection net of your Qeridoo before every journey to protect the children from insects and small stones. To protect against exhaust fumes in road traffic additionally close the window foil and make sure that the ventilation windows are opened.

Defensive riding

  • Always ride defensively and with foresight.
  • Avoid steep gradients and be especially careful when driving on slopes, uneven terrain and when stopping.
  • Stay away from stairs, escalators and very steep paths.


Failure to comply with the aforementioned safety instructions can lead to property damage and personal injury.
