remove to reveal the spark plug access
hole. (Do not disconnect any wires from
control panel cover.)

3. Clean area around spark plug.
4. Remove and inspect spark plug.
5. See Figure 4-6. Inspect electrode gap with
wire feeler gauge and reset spark plug gap
to 0.04 in (1.01 mm).

NOTE: Replace spark plug if electrodes are
pitted, burned or porcelain is cracked. Use
013788
ONLY recommended replacement plug. See
Specifications.
6. Install spark plug finger tight, and tighten
an additional 3/8 to 1/2 turn using spark
plug wrench.
Battery Replacement (if
applicable)
Accidental Start-up. Disconnect the negative battery
cable, then the positive battery cable when working
on unit. Failure to do so could result in death
or serious injury.
Environmental Hazard. Always recycle batteries at an
official recycling center in accordance with all local
laws and regulations. Failure to do so could result in
environmental damage, death, or serious injury.

NOTE: The battery shipped with the generator
has been fully charged. A battery may lose
some charge when not in use for prolonged
periods of time.

2. Disconnect positive (+) battery terminal

3. Install new battery. Install hold down
bracket and tighten.
4. Connect positive (+) battery terminal (A)
