Section 4 AC Diagnostic Tests
Test 5 – Check Continuity of
Receptacle Panel
Procedure
Set DMM to measure Resistance.

If any reading other than CONTINUITY was mea-

sured, continue troubleshooting to determine if it is
the receptacle or the wiring. Repair or replace as
necessary.

Procedure
Set a DMM to measure resistance.

Disconnect 12-pin alternator connector (CONN3P).

a. Connect the one meter test lead to Wire 11
(Pin 1) of the 12-pin alternator receptacle
(CONN3R) located at the bottom of the control
panel.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Digital multimeters (DMM) vary in
sensitivity and display range formats. Simpler meters
commonly used by electricians will read only one or two
for
decimal points. More robust meters may read up to four
decimal points. The actual resistance values for this
product are all below 0.1 ohms as shown in
