Replacement of the CO sensor on Aduro Hybrid
Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time consumption: 20 minutes
Tools: Allen key 2 mm
NB: All changes and adjustments must be conducted when the stove is cold and disconnected from the
power supply.
The CO sensor is located in the top of the pellet container to ensure that the stove is not being used without
sufficient chimney draft and with non-dusted pellets.
If the CO sensor reads values which reach the yellow or red level, it may be due to the following reasons:
•
Dirty/filled up brazier. Clean the brazier to remove any blockage for the air flow for the new pellets.

•
Insufficient chimney draft.
•
Filling up the pellet container with fresh pellets. New fresh pellets can cause extra dust and can also
degas. These gases are not toxic but can affect the sensor. Let out the pellet gas by opening the door to
the pellet container. Open a window in the same room as the stove, and let the pellets equalize for 10-30
min. We also recommend opening the bag of pellets 24 hours ahead to allow degassing from the pellets.
The hybrid stove has an alarm for high CO level in the pellet container. It is very important that you DO NOT
USE THE STOVE WITH WOOD OR PELLETS until this alarm has been reset. The stove should be monitored to
see if all functions are in order. It is especially important to ensure that both the internal and external augers run
correctly. If you experience smoke in the pellet container, please keep the lid closed until the stove has cooled
down and the smoke has disappeared. This may take several hours.
How to replace the CO sensor
