Daily Cleaning
•
Clean the glass so the stove looks presentable.
•
Remove the ash under the burning cave (For every 15 kg of pellets burned, which is equal to
approximately 8 hours in operation on heat level 3):
o
Place the cave to the side (use pliers) see picture 1 and use gloves if necessary for extra
protection.
o
Scrape the ash under the cave away into the grate (see picture 2).
o
Put the burning cave back in its place.
The cleaning takes less than 3 minutes to complete. However, if the lid is open for more than 3 minutes, the
stove will automatically turn off out of safety reasons. We do not recommend that you turn off the stove when
conducting this fast cleaning, otherwise the igniter will be quickly worn down. It may be necessary to do this
cleaning every 7 to 8 hours of operation if the stove is running at heat level 3.
See this video for guidance:
Weekly cleaning
•
Vacuum clean inside of the stove, inside the small auger under the cave (once every 3-4 day).
•
Remove ashpan and clean the room of the ashpan.
•
Dry dust of the stove so it keeps its new look.
Additional cleaning if needed
This cleaning is necessary if you find that the combustion is getting worse. This may be due to dust and
ashes reducing the air flow in the stove.
•
Remove ashes and cinders from the burning cave and combustion chamber.
•
Empty the ashpan.
•
Vacuum clean the inside of the combustion chamber and in the burning cave to clean the upper part
of the auger.
•
Pellet stoves form dust in the stove and air pathways. The amount depends on the pellet type. Much
of this dust is burned when the stove is used in wood mode, because the temperature is higher.
