Power Figure 3.1 shows a block diagram of power system of the G3S SMARC EVK. This board has one USB Type-C receptacle for power input with USB Power Delivery. The input voltage of VBUS can be selected among 5 V, 9 V, 15 V, and 20 V.
RZ Family / RZ/G Series 3. Functional Specifications USB-C – Main Power 3.1.1 The RZ SMARC Carrier- II primary power input is from the USB -Type-C connected to a power delivery device (not provided). BAT_RTC – VDD_RTC Power 3.1.2 A 3.0V coin cell battery may be fitted to provide VDD_RTC power as an alternative to the on-board regulator. The advantage of using a coin cell is that power is maintained when USB-C main power is removed.

Functional Specifications Clock Clock inputs required for peripherals such as FT232HQ, USB Hub, M.2 Key E Card Module, HDMI Transmitter are generated locally using separate crystals or oscillators.
