Installing the library hardware

This section provides step-by-step instructions for installing the library

Step
1 Install the library into a rack, if you have a rack-mount model.
2 Unlock and open the front door.
3 Remove the packing foam.
4 Prepare and install cartridges.
5 Close and lock the door.
6 Connect the library to the SCSI bus.
7 Connect the power cord.
8 Power on the library.
WARNING!
Before performing any installation or maintenance
procedures, be sure that the library power switch is in the
off position and that the power cord is disconnected from
the library and the outlet.
