Discovery™ Benches and Racks - DBR 712 Glute Bridge Bench
Assembly Guide
Precor recommends at least two people for this installation. DO NOT
attempt assembly by yourself.
Follow the steps in the order listed in this assembly guide. Note the following:
• Unpack the box and assemble the equipment close to where you plan to use it.
• Assemble the equipment on a solid, flat, non-slip surface so that it remains level and
stable.
• Locate the equipment at least 40 inches (1 meter) away from walls or furniture on
either side of the equipment, and 40 inches (1 meter) away from objects behind or in
front of the equipment. This provides access and passage around the equipment.
• DO NOT move the equipment without assistance.
• When used with an Olympic barbell, the maximum dimensions of the equipment are
7 feet (2.2 meters) wide (determine by length of barbell) by 5 feet (1.53 meters).
Required Tools
• Adjustable wrench
• Hex wrench set, metric and standard, with extensions
• Torque wrench
• Socket wrench set, metric and standard, with extensions
• Rubber mallet

Begin Assembly
CAUTION: Do not fully tighten fasteners until instructed to do so.
The equipment is designed to be freestanding; however, it can be bolted to the floor for extra stability. Precor highly recommends that the equipment be bolted to the floor to reduce the risk of toppling the
equipment due to improper use. Since floor construction varies, please consult a professional building engineer for proper fastening.
Attach side frames to foot plate
NOTE The foot plate is heavy (122.6 lbs/55.5 kg). Precor recommends 2 people move it together.

Set the

foot plate where it will be used. Align the
anchor points on the right side of the foot plate. Ensure the pegs are on the outside of the frame.
Place onto the foot plate (Figure 2).

Attach cross frame to foot plate and side frames

Set the

cross frame between the two side frames at the front of the foot frame (Figure
4). Secure the lower fasteners from the outside of the
(Figure 4) using 2
M12 x 85 mm SHCS and 2

Secure the upper fasteners from the inside (Figure 4) using 2

13 mm washers.

3.
Tighten all M12 fasteners to 75 N-m (55 ft-lb).

  • Page 2 Bolt equipment to the floor Precor recommends that the strength equipment be bolted down at all anchoring points. Bolting is made possible through the bolt holes in each corner of the foot plate (Figure 7). The inside diameter of each hole is 15 mm. Ensure the equipment does not rock and is level before anchoring.
