    Use high pressure airless hose with an inside diameter (ID) of: 5, 6, or 10 mm (3/16, 1/4, or 3/8 in.). WARNING: Use Nordson or equivalent nylon or PTFE fluid hoses, with electrical continuity between fittings. Hoses must be capable of withstanding the maximum output pressure of the pump.

    Safety Packing Glands and Kits 64B pumps are shipped with Type F packings, which are suitable for most finishing applications. Refer to the Pump Packing and Solvent Chamber Fluid Guide included with this manual for packing and solvent chamber fluid applications. Contact your Nordson representative for additional information.

    Air Inlet Port: 3/8 in. NPT. Use a flexible air hose to supply air to the pump and act as a vibration damper. Minimum hose ID is 10-mm (3/8 in.). See Figure 4-1 for optional Air Motor Accessory kit installation, and Quick Reference − 64B 15:1 Aluminum Pump for the kit part number.

    The more the circulation valve is opened, the more potential there is for fan pattern collapse or “wink” at the spray device when the pump changes direction or shifts.     Use a correctly sized siphon hose. Check the strainer screen. If hose ID too small, or the strainer screen is clogged with pigment, use a coarser mesh strainer screen too fine screen or a strainer without a screen.
