Telnet Settings

Users can configure Telnet Settings on the Switch.
To view the following window, click Configuration > Telnet Settings:
The following parameters may be configured or viewed:
Parameter Description
Telnet Status Telnet configuration is Enabled by default. If you do not want to allow configuration of the
system through Telnet choose Disabled.
Port (1-65535) The TCP port number used for Telnet management of the Switch. The "well-known" TCP port for
the Telnet protocol is 23.
Click Apply to set the Telnet setting.

Password Encryption

Users can configure Password Encryption on the Switch.
To view the following window, click Configuration > Password Encryption:
The following parameter may be configured or viewed:
Parameter Description
Password Password encryption is Disabled by default. To enable password encryption, click the Enabled
Encryption radio button.
Status
Click Apply to set the password encryption.
