  • Page 5 Fitting the YOWIE Slim Roof Top Tent to Roof Rack 1. Determine Ladder Deployment Side: - The YOWIE Slim can be oriented to deploy from either the right or left side of the vehicle. - Release all four locking clamps and raise the shell.
  • Page 6 Opening & Set up Deployment Options Option 1: For weight reduction and when the tent is mounted lower than 1600 mm (e.g., rear of dual/single cabs, trailers, etc.), use the new extendable pole. This allows for the ladder to be removed and stored separately during pack down. Option 2: Use the ladder to deploy and close the tent.
  • Page 7 OPTION 1: Using the Extendable Pole to Deploy and Pack Down Tent 1. The extendable pole is factory-fitted for your convenience. Disengage it from the C clip position on the baseboard. 2. Pivot the pole at the knuckle so it is fully extended and secure it with the locking pin. Ensure the pin is fitted correctly with an audible click.
  • Page 8 YOWIE SLIM USER MANUAL Option 2: Using Ladder to Deploy Tent 1. Remove the fitted extendable pole attached to the baseboard by depressing the locking pin. Store the pin in a safe place. Unclip the extended pole from its secured C clip and set it aside.

  • Page 10 Closing & Packing up Yowie Slim Packing down the Yowie Slim tent is the reverse procedure of setting it up. Note: To avoid component damage, it is highly recommended not to place additional bed- ding within the tent when packing down. If using mattress toppers, you must remove them before packing down.
  • Page 11 1. Fold Tent: A. Stand in front of the tent and with two hands, push the pole up and over until the two base- boards meet. B. Secure the extendable pole back into the C clip on the baseboard in a folded manner as per factory specifications.
  • Page 12 Closing & Pack up Using the Ladder Step-by-Step Instructions: 1. Remove Window Rods: A. From within the tent, remove all window rods and store them in the provided sleeve. Place the sleeve under the mattress towards the rear of the tent. 2.
  • Page 13 YOWIE SLIM USER MANUAL Closing & Pack up Important Step: The tent canopy hoop must be retracted, locked, and positioned so it is just resting over the ladder feet. It should not be resting above the feet nor too far back. If the tent lid is not fully closing, the canopy hoop is not positioned correctly.
  • Page 14 YOWIE SLIM USER MANUAL Closing & Pack up PACK UP COMPLETE. IMPORTANT: Ensure the YOWIE is packed dry at all times. If weather conditions dictate a wet pack up, open the tent and allow to dry fully as soon as possible.
  • Page 15 YOWIE SLIM USER MANUAL Ladder adjustment For your safety and protection, ensure correct placement and angle of ladder. See diagrams below. Recommended ladder placement is a 4:1 ratio or approx. 70° to 75°. NOTE: Under no circumstances should anyone be inside the roof top tent if the ladder is not locked and secured at the correct angle.
