Transmitting the diagnostic information over the bus
Prioritizing diagnostic information for transmission over the bus
Diagnostic information is only transmitted over the bus if its priority is between 2 and 15.
Priority 1-events are displayed but are not transmitted over the bus. Diagnostic
information with priority 0 (default value) is ignored.
It is possible to change the priority individually for the different status signals. The
following parameters of the Resource Block are used for this purpose:
• FD_FAIL_PRI
• FD_CHECK_PRI
• FD_OFFSPEC_PRI
• FD_MAINT_PRI
Suppressing certain diagnostic information
It is possible to suppress certain events during transmission over the bus using a mask.
While these events are displayed they are not transmitted over the bus. This mask is in
FieldCare Expert → Communication → Field diagnostics → Alarm broadcast enable. The
mask is a negative selection mask, i.e. if a field is selected the associated diagnostic
information is not transmitted over the bus.
12.5 Overview of diagnostic information
The amount of diagnostic information and the number of measured variables affected
increase if the measuring device has one or more application packages.
