WARNING
• This equipment should only be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
• Do not install or use this equipment near flammable, explosive, harsh, or combustible materials, chemicals or vapors.
• Handle the equipment with care during transportation to prevent any damage. Do not subject it to strong force or impact
or pull, twist, tangle, drag or step on the device.
• The respective national regulations must be observed with regard to the installation of the pedestals.
• When mounting the pedestals in parking spaces or parking garages, appropriate anti-collision protection must be provided
by the installer.
Preparing for Installation
IMPORTANT:
• A flat, concrete, and sound surface is required for installation. To ensure safe and permanent anchor-
ing, the concrete strength level should be above C30.
• The base must permit the running off of any water that has entered the base.
• All cables must be laid precisely in the center of the concrete foundation from the base and must have
an excess length of approx. 1.3 m for the remaining installation activities.
• Do not mount the pedestal on asphalt.
NOTE:
This pedestal supports two chargers. This Quick Reference Guide describes only the installation procedure of one charger.
The other charger can also be installed referring to this guide.

  • Page 2 Dismantling the pedestal Top Cover Unscrew the four screws and remove the top cover. Butterfly Bolt Loosen and remove the four butterfly bolts. Pull Up Handle Rear Cover Pull the handle up until the bottom edge Front Cover of the front/rear cover leaves the snap-fit to remove the front/rear cover.

    Drilling Holes NOTE: If you want to construct a concrete foundation, please refer to Preparing a Foundation (optional) on page 8 for construction instructions. 1. Place the main body of the pedestal onto the surface, aligning the central hole of the pedestal base with the conduit stub-up.
  • Page 4: Mounting The Charger

    Align the main body with the four mounting holes (A). Put the four M12 x 60 bolts (B) into the holes and tighten the four nuts to anchor the main body. Ensure the main body is horizontal. Mounting the Charger Mount the charger to the main body of the pedestal by inserting the mounting screws (C) on the back of the charger into the two mounting holes (D) on the main body of the pedestal.

  • Page 6 Wiring Connection (With MCB and RCD) 1. Refer to the Assembly Guide of MCB and RCD to assemble the MCB and RCD. 2. Position the MCB and RCD on the rail. Rail Connect the cables as shown below: NOTE: There are two AC input cables to be connected. One comes from the bottom of the pedestal and connects to the MCB.

    Wiring Diagram From left to right, the wiring sequence is N, L3, L2, and L1. Assembling the Pedestal After all the cables are connected correctly and screws are tightened, reinstall the front and rear covers.
  • Page 8 Preparing a Foundation (optional) 1. Dig a hole according to the foundation dimensions. The size is recommended be 250 x 350 x 400 mm (L x W x H). 2. Trench and excavate an opening to lay the wiring conduit. The diameter of wiring conduit must be less than or equal to 80 mm.
