This manual contains information for ensuring correct use
of the FSP136A. This manual should be read in advance by
those using the FSP136A, whether checking the flame out-
put of a Protectorelay or flame relay, or adjusting the flame
safeguard control devices of combustion equipment.

• When checking an instrumentation panel using the
FSP136A, do not touch other terminals. Doing so might
cause electric shock.
• Do not disassemble the FSP136A. Doing so might cause
faulty operation.
• Do not install the FSP136A in places such as the follow-
ing:
• Where corrosive chemicals or gases are present (am-
monia, sulfur, chlorine, ethylene compounds, acid, etc.).
• Where it is exposed to water drops or excessive damp-
ness.
• Where it is exposed to high temperature.
• Where vibration continues for an extended period of
time.
• Carefully wire and use the FSP136A while referring to this
user's manual and the manuals of each relevant device.
• Use the FSP136A within the specified ranges for operat-
ing conditions (vibration, shock, temperature, humidity,
etc.).
• When disposing of the FSP136A, follow local regulations.
HANDLING CAUTIONS
• When carrying the FSP136A, be sure to set the range selection
switch to OFF to prevent any damage.
• Do not subject the FSP136A to shock or impact.
• When measuring the flame current of the RA890F/G, R485B*,
R4750C, R4780B/C, R7257A*, R7258A*, R7259B*, R7247B/
C, or R7476A (*:discontinued model) while the equipment is
running, check that the current measurement plug is fully inserted
into the jack. If not, the flame signal may disappear, leading to a
flame failure signal that stops the combustion.
