The user manual informs about the design and function of the UVP Gel Compact and provides the necessary know-how for the safe handling of the device and its components to personnel familiar with analysis.

Unauthorized modifications or changes, especially such that affect the safety of the staff and the environment, are generally not allowed. Observe the following notes: The operator must only operate the device in a sound and operationally safe condition.

Handling of auxiliary and operating materials The operator is responsible for the selection of substances used in the process as well as for their safe handling. This is particularly important for radioactive, infectious, poisonous, corrosive, combustible, explosive and otherwise dangerous substances.

    UVP Gel Compact Function and Set-Up 3.2. Camera The UVP Gel Compact uses the user’s cellphone camera for image acquisition. If using a clear cellphone case, user will need to place the cellphone inside the phone holder. Start VisionWorks™ App and connect cellphone to the unit via Bluetooth. Proceed to select settings and acquire images.

Please use this cellphone holder to avoid light getting into the darkroom while acquiring images. 3.8. Plug the main power cable into a surge protected outlet. 3. Turn the darkroom main power switch to the ON (I) position, located on the back right of the unit.

    UVP Gel Compact Function and Set-Up 4.6. Installing VisionWorks® Mobile Application To control the UVP Gel Compact, the user will need to download the VisionWorks™ App through Apple App Store (for Apple iOS phones or tablets) or Google Play Store (for Android phones or tablets).
