9 Upgrading the VPS GUI Application and
System Software
This chapter provides information about upgrading your Envision X14
VPS GUI App. Detailed procedures are not provided in this document.
Please be sure to refer to the Teledyne Lecroy Release Notes for a
specific release for detailed upgrade instructions.
Teledyne Lecroy periodically provides maintenance release of software
and firmware. The most recent versions are available on the downloads
page of the Teledyne Lecroy website:
Envision X14 Video
Two software packages are available for upgrading the Envision X14
VPS GUI:
•
The firmware and gateware package for the Envision X14
instrument: this is a Debian software package for installation in the
Linux-based instrument. (The file extension is .deb.) This package
also includes the embedded VPS GUI that will be installed.
Note: This package also includes the legacy GUI (ATP Manager)
and will update both embedded applications with this install.
•
Windows-based VPS GUI Application: this is the VPS (Video
Protocol Suite) GUI that can be used to control the Envision X14
instrument from a Windows PC.
