Maintenance and Repair: There are no user serviceable parts inside the

Description
A new variant of the 6940 IP Phone is available called the 6940w IP Phone. The
6940w IP Phone is physically identical to the 6940 IP Phone. There are new
features supported by the 6940w IP Phone relative to the 6940 IP Phone, namely
embedded Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, IEEE 802.3az standard (Energy Efficient
Ethernet) capability. The 6940w IP Phone also supports the same accessories
as the current 6940 IP Phone.
The Mitel 6940/6940w IP phone is a top-of-the-line executive phone with a large
high-resolution touch display that delivers graphically rich applications. As a full-
feature enterprise-class phone, the Mitel 6940/6940w IP phone provides users
a wide range of productivity enhancing features such as programmable self-
labeling keys and intuitive state sensitive softkeys.
The Mitel 6940/6940w IP phone features superior sound quality with a cordless
Bluetooth handset featuring enhanced audio capabilities, a speakerphone that
utilizes advanced audio processing to achieve richer and clearer handsfree
conversations, and native Bluetooth and USB headset functionality.
The 6940 IP phone supports MobileLink, features that provide seamless mobile
integration using Bluetooth wireless technology. MobileLink highlights include
the ability to:
• Answer a mobile phone call using your Mitel 6940 IP phone.
• Effortlessly move mobile call audio between the Mitel 6940 IP phone and
your mobile phone.
• Sync your mobile phone's contact list with your Mitel 6940 IP phone.
Accommodating today's high speed networks through dual Gigabit Ethernet
ports, the Mitel 6940 IP phone also offers plenty of support for Mitel and third-
party peripherals and has an environmentally efficient PoE class 3 rating. The
Mitel 6940 IP phone is one of the most advanced desktop IP phones available on

The Mitel 6940 IP phone is compatible with select Mitel communication solutions
and supports both MiNet and SIP protocols through appropriate firmware
installation. The 6900/6900w series phones have MiNet firmware pre-installed.
For SIP deployments, upgrade to the latest SIP firmware release.
