6 Installation and commissioning
6.1

Installation

Establish power connection

Geocal may only be operated indoors.
Place Geocal on a stable, level, non-inclined surface
To minimize the risk of bumping, Geocal requires a minimum footprint
of approx. 85 x 25 cm (Geocal XL) or 58 x 15 cm (Geocal / Geocal
IR).
CAUTION!
Loss of stability
Tipping of the appliance due to installation on an inclined or
movable surface
Falling of the device due to impact
Observe the above instructions for commissioning
Connect Geocal to the mains using a suitable power supply unit and
a power cable.
NOTE
Impairment of the function or destruction of the
device by using a power supply unit outside the specifi-
cation
NOTE
The desktop power supply is not part of the product and
must be purchased separately.
When selecting a power supply unit, observe the require-
ments and recommendations in chapter 4.5 - Interfaces
and power supply requirements
