Camera position and suitable lenses:
Place the camera in front of the DOE in the circular opening on the
front of the Geocal.
The camera can be placed directly in front of the DOE; a minimum
distance is not required (see Figure 8.2.3 below). The optical axis of
the lens should be aligned approximately perpendicular to the DOE.
This is achieved by aligning the zeroth diffraction order, the brightest
point in the center of the grating, with the center of the image. See
Figure 8.2.4 and 8.2.5 for reference. Make sure that the dot grid co-
vers the entire image and that the edge of the DOE is not visible.
