It is the default security level for your G54 and the highest security level available. 7. Select the password encryption type from the Encryption type drop-down list. This is used for securing your Wi-Fi network.

    Chapter 5 Using the Wi-Fi Cable Modem Web Manager You can view, monitor, and modify the network configuration settings of your G54 using the SBC app and the WEB GUI option. We recommend you to use the SBC app to modify the network settings.

    Chapter 7 Protecting and monitoring your Wi-Fi network After you have successfully connected your G54 and your Wi-Fi devices, you should configure your G54 to protect your Wi-Fi network from unwanted and unauthorized access by any Wi-Fi devices that are within range of your Wi-Fi network. Although you have configured the network security for your G54, you can use your G54 Web Manager to set the level of security and network access that you want to allow on your Wi-Fi network.
