Using Surfboard S33v2 on Optimum network for less than a year. The normal state showed a blue LED. We then had an outage that lasted a couple of hours. When service came back, the LED started orange, then flashed green, then went off - no solid blue. However, the unit seems to be working normally. Why would the Blue LED no longer appear? I **** getting 800M download speed. Does it need a software update?

If the blue LED is not appearing on the Arris S33 after an outage despite the unit functioning normally, it may be because the modem is operating in DOCSIS 3.0 mode instead of DOCSIS 3.1. In DOCSIS 3.0 mode, the LED shows solid green rather than blue.
