General notes for operating
Switching on
For switching the TV set on, press power switch OI.
An ON indicator is lighting.
The picture appears after some seconds and P 1 is shown for
a moment in the upper right part of the screen.
P 1 stands for programme site 1.
Switching off
If you do not want to watch TV for a while, you may switch the
set off using button ¢(!) on the remote control. The set remains
in stand-by mode and the ON indicator keeps lighting.
10 minutes after the closing-down of broadcasting, the TV set
automatically switches to stand-by mode.
If you do not want to watch TV over a longer period of time,
use power switch Ol on the set to switch off.
Switching on from stand-by mode
The TV set can be switched on again with the remote control
using a numeric button or the button A.
¢ lf you use a numeric button, the corresponding programme
site is activated immediately.
* lf you use button A, the programme site activated last is
switched on.

Selecting a different TV station
Use the numeric buttons on the remote control to select the
number of the programme site that stores the TV station of
your choice.
To select a one-digit programme site, press one of the nume-
ric buttons 1 - 9.
For the two-digit programme sites 10 - 49 press first the nume-
ric button for the decimal digit and while this one is still shown
in the decimal field in the upper right part of the picture enter
the unit number.
Thus, enter 1 and 0 for programme site 10; and enter 2 and 3
for programme site 23, etc.
In case the programme sites 10 - 49 cannot be switched on, see on
page 37 under "Special functions" to be informed how to solve this pro-
blem. Switch over by pressing button A.
By means of button A or V or you can switch forwards or
backwards between the programme sites.
lf you cannot activate a programme site when switching over, C 00 has
been stored on this programme site instead of a channel number. Using
the numeric buttons you may activate this programme site nevertheless.
