The operating pressure of the tractor's hydraulic system must be 160 bar to oper- ate the hydraulic folding device of VarioPack 110 FEP K 600/90 featuring a work- ing width of 6 m and 90 cm packer rings. Less operating pressure is required for the VarioPack 110 FEP K front furrow press, which has a smaller working width and 70 cm packer rings. - Page 12 4 PREPARATIONS AT THE TRACTOR Tyres The air pressure in the tractor tyres must be the same. Do not exceed the maxi- mum permissible load ratings of the tractor tyres. See the operating instructions of the tractor manufacturer! - Page 13 5 PREPARATIONS AT THE MACHINE The VarioPack 110 FEP K front furrow press is supplied as a fully assembled ma- chine. As such, no special preparations need to be taken prior to its initial use. However, prior to initial use, make sure all the screws are tight (re-tighten, if nec- essary) and all the lubricating points have been lubricated.

10.3 Transport width VarioPack 110 FEP K must be folded in before driving on public roads. According to the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO), machines wider than 3 m may not be driven on public roads when mounted on a tractor. -

11 MAINTENANCE 11.1 General information The lubricating points of the front furrow press must be lubricated with an envi- ronmentally compatible grease according to the lubrication schedule. The top link pin (A1) and the lower link pins (A2) must be regularly adjusted slightly to prevent them from seizing up with rust. - Page 23 Check hydraulic hoses regularly for damage and porosity. Replace porous or de- fective hoses immediately. Hydraulic hoses must be replaced at the latest after 6 years. Only use hydraulic hoses approved by LEMKEN! • Before carrying out any repair, maintenance and cleaning work or before rectifying any malfunctions, ensure that the drive has been switched off and the motor is at a standstill.
