OSD Operation

Operating Mode

The Operating Mode sub-section allows the working parameters of the KVM to be set. The settings in this sub-section are
described in the table below.
Item
Description
Force All to Grayscale
When this checkbox is checked, all of the accounts in the installation will be forced to view the remote
video in black and white. This can help improve keyboard and mouse response time on slower networks.
Enable Client AP
When this checkbox is checked, the KVM switch will appear in the device list of the non-browser Windows
Device List
and Java client main pages. If this checkbox is not checked, you will still be able to access the KVM via the
non-browser clients, but you will have to manually type in the IP address instead of selecting it from the
device list.
Enable First Logon
When this checkbox is checked, only the first user on a bus can switch ports. (See Bus Info section under
Transfer
Control Panel in Remote Session Operation for details.)
Keyboard/Mouse
This drop-down menu allows you to broadcast the keyboard and/or mouse commands to all accessible
Broadcast
computers at the same time. This functionality is disabled by default.
Note: For the broadcast feature to function properly, all of the computers must be running the same OS, all monitors must
be set to the same resolution, and the computer screens must have the same layout.
Console Keyboard
Select from the drop-down list the language of the keyboard that is connected to the KVM console port.
Language
This defaults at English US.

Network
