54) Do not move the front or rear seat if
a child is seated on it or on the dedicated
child restraint system.
55) Never use the same lower anchorage to
attach more than one child restraint.
56) If a Universal ISOFIX child restraint
system is not fixed to all three anchorages,
it will not be able to protect the child
correctly. In a crash, the child could be
seriously or fatally injured.
57) Fit the child restraint system when the
car is stationary. The child restraint system
is correctly fixed to the brackets when you
hear the click. Follow the instructions for
assembly, disassembly and positioning that
the Manufacturer must supply with the
child restraint system.
58) Deactivate passenger airbag only in
combination with the use of a child restraint
system, subject to the instructions and
restrictions in the table "Child restraint
installation locations" on the Owner
Handbook. Otherwise, there is a risk of fatal
injury for a person occupying a seat with a
deactivated front passenger airbag.
TYRE UNDERINFLATION
DETECTION SYSTEM

20
The Tyre Underinflation Detection System
continually checks the rotation speed
of all four wheels and warns on low tyre
pressure condition once vehicle is driving.
This is achieved by comparing tyre rolling
circumference with reference values and
further signals.
If a tyre loses pressure the control indicator
illuminates and a warning message is
displayed in the instrument panel display.
In this case reduce speed, avoid sharp
cornering and strong braking. Stop at next
safe opportunity and check tyre pressure.
After adjusting tyre pressure initialize
system to extinguish the control indicator
and restart system.
If the failure continues to be displayed,
contact a Jeep Dealership. The system
is inoperable when the ABS or Electronic
Stability Control has a malfunction or a
temporary spare wheel is used. Once
the tyre has been refitted, check the tyre
pressure with cold tyres and initialise the
system.
ATTENTION
59) The presence of the Tyre Underinflation
Detection System does not permit the
driver to neglect regular checks of the tyre
pressure, including for the spare wheel,
and correct maintenance. The system is not
used to signal a possible tyre failure.
60) Tyre pressure must be checked with
tyres rested and cold. Should it become
necessary for whatever reason to check
pressure with warm tyres, do not reduce
pressure even though it is higher than the
prescribed value. Repeat the check when
the tyres are cold.
61) The Tyre Underinflation Detection
System cannot indicate sudden tyre
pressure drops (for example when a tyre
bursts). In this case, stop the vehicle,
braking with caution and avoiding abrupt
steering.
62) Changes in outside temperature may
cause tire pressures to vary. The system
may temporarily indicate insufficient
pressure. In this case check the tire
inflation pressure with the tires cold and, if
necessary top up the inflation pressure.
