Safety Intended Use The P-750 is a laboratory device as defined by DIN EN 61010-1. It is intended for indoor use and use in an environment that is free from dirt, oil, and lubricants. According to its design, the P-750 is intended for fine positioning as well as moving small objects quickly and precisely.
If the protective earth conductor is not or not properly connected, dangerous touch voltages can occur on the P-750 in the event of malfunction or failure of the system. If there are touch voltages, touching the P-750 can result in minor injury from electric shock.

Do not let screw heads protrude. Only use the holes or threads intended for the purpose of fixing the P-750 and loads. Pay attention to the torque range (p. 25) specified for the screws used during installation.
P750UM0001, applies to P-750.20 CBo, 1/26/2024 INFORMATION Extension cables can reduce the positioning accuracy of the P-750 or affect sensor processing by the electronics. Do not use extension cables. If you need longer cables, contact our customer service department (p. 21).
Mounting the P-750 onto an uneven surface can warp the P-750. Warping reduces the accuracy. Mount the P-750 onto a flat surface. The recommended flatness of the surface is ≤10 µm. For applications with large temperature fluctuations: Only mount the P-750 onto surfaces that have the same or similar thermal expansion properties as the P-750 (e.g., surfaces made of steel).

You have read and understood the general notes on installing (p. 9). The P-750 is not connected to the electronics. Physik Instrumente (PI) GmbH & Co. KG, Auf der Römerstraße 1, 76228 Karlsruhe, Germany Page 12 / 26 Phone +49 721 4846-0, fax +49 721 4846-1019, e-mail info@pi.ws,...
Mounting the P-750 onto a surface 1. Align the P-750 so that the mounting holes in the P-750 are in line with the mounting holes in the surface. 2. Insert the mounting screws through the countersunk mounting holes in the P-750’s base body into the surface from above.

If the center of load is located too far away from the center of the motion platform (e.g., tall loads and unwanted lever effect), the P-750 can be damaged by high strain on the flexure guides, high torque, and oscillation, especially when operated dynamically.

Recalibrate the axis displacement (refer to the controller manual) or contact our our customer service department (p. 21). INFORMATION Sound and vibration (e.g., footfall, knocks) can be transmitted to the P-750 and can affect its performance with regard to position stability. Avoid sound and vibration while the P-750 is being operated.
You have read and understood the general notes on starting (p. 17). You have installed (p. 9) the P-750 correctly and connected it to the electronics (p. 16). You have read and understood the user manual for the electronics.
Requirements You have disconnected the P-750 from the electronics. Cleaning the P-750 When necessary, clean the surfaces of the P-750 with a cloth that is dampened with a mild cleanser or disinfectant (e.g., isopropyl alcohol). Customer Service For inquiries and orders, contact your PI sales engineer or send us an email (service@pi.de).
