9.3 Instructions for seasonal or long-term shut-down

Ifyouneedtoswitchoffthehumidifierforlongperiodsoftime,alwaysmakesurethatallwaterhasbeendrainedfromthe
system.
BIOLOGICAL RISK
• Intheeventofimproperuseandinstallation,microorganisms(includingthebacteriathatcauseLegionellosis)may
proliferate and be transferred into the air treatment system after the humidifier has been shut down for a long time.
• Intheeventofpoormaintenance/cleaningafterthehumidifierhasbeenshut-downforalongtime,microorganisms
(including the bacteria that cause Legionellosis) may proliferate and be transferred into the air treatment system.
• Thehumidifiermustbeusedproperlyandbemaintainedandcleanedproperlyatprescribedintervals,asdescribedinthe
MAINTENANCE chapter.
• Set the humidity request setpoint SP1to0%oneachdistributionrackinstalledoronthepumpunitifinsingle-branch
or room mode;
• Makesurethatallwaterhasbeendrainedfromthesystem;
• Switch off the humidifier.
NOTE: The humidifier is turned off gradually (not instantaneously) so as to allow the AHU to dry completely. The drain valve
isofthenormallyopen(NO)type,thisallowsdryingasevenwiththeAHUturnedoff,thedistributionanddraincircuitremain
open in the absence of water supply.

9.4 Starting up after a seasonal or long-term shut-down

•  C heckthesupplyanddrainnetwork(seeparagraphs:"5.3 INSTALLING THE PLUMBING" ON PAGE 33,
"5.4 WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM" ON PAGE 34 and "5.5 DISTRIBUTION IN THE AHU" ON PAGE 35);
• Checkthepowerfuses;
•  C heckthehumidistatorsensorconnections,dependingontherequiredoperation(SEE "6.5 ELECTRICAL
CONNECTIONS" ON PAGE 46);
• CheckthatthecontactsCV and S0 are closed (see "6.5 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS" ON PAGE 46);
• Close the pump unit;
• Activatetheisolatorinstalledoutsidethehumidifierandopenthewatersupplysource;
• PresstheON/OFFbuttonon the user interfacetostartthehumidifier;
• RuntherackandAHUdisinfectioncycles;
• Set the humidity setpoint SP to the value required for the application;
•  T hehumidifierrunsadistributionrackwashingcycleinordertokeepthehumidifierinagoodoperatingcondition.
• Thehumidifierstartstoproducinghumidityonrequest.
