    1. General Information CONGRATULATIONS on the purchase of your new SEERS MEDICAL product. If these operating instructions are adhered to, the product will provide many years of safe use. If these operating instructions are not followed, your warranty could be invalid! Always keep these Instructions for Use available for reference.

  • Page 7 2. How To Use a. Wheel System - Retractable Wheel Design Lever Down Lever Up Wheels ENGAGED and ON Wheels RETRACTED and OFF WARNING! This product is not designed for patient transportation. Ensure wheels are retracted/locked prior to patient transfer or treatment. Disconnect the electric lead prior to re-locating the product, ensuring the lead is not trapped in the mechanism.

    b. Adjustable Foot CAUTION! Ensure Wheels are retracted before adjusting the adjustable foot. • Ensure the wheels are retracted and off. • Adjust the foot by turning clockwise or anti -clockwise until the couch is stable on all legs. • Secure the foot by tightening the nut until it locks against the threaded cap.
  • Page 9 Adjusting the Height of the Couch Hand Switch Foot Switch Raising the Couch • To elevate the couch, push the UP button on the hand or foot switch. • Once the desired height is achieved, release the button. • On releasing the button, the couch is locked at the desired position.   • Page 10 Adjusting the backrest & footrest To adjust the backrest, simply press the raise or lower button of the middle button indicated by the symbol, until desired angle is achieved. Once the button is released, the section is locked in that position, ready for use. f.

    Adjustment of Fold Down Arms (Optional) To raise or lower the armrest, simply swing into the up or down position. Adjusting the Angle of the Arms in the Down Position The angle in the down position can be adjusted by rotating the adjusting barrel on the underside of the arm, until the desired angle is achieved.
  • Page 12 j. Side Supports & Rails (Optional) WARNING! Children must not play with the couch at any time. Adequately supervise children in the proximity of the couch. Ensure the Side Support Rails are Fully Engaged into Socket, prior to use. To Raise the side support rail, simply lift and rotate 180 degrees, and then engage fully into socket.
  • Page 13 k. Upper Limb Support 1. To adjust position of Arm Support Pad, undo the locking clamp on underside of pad anticlockwise. 2. Once loosened, move pad to desired position and re-tighten locking clamp to secure. 3. If height adjustment is required, undo the locking clamp on the vertical stem.

    Cleaning Instructions WARNING! Disconnect the couch from the mains power supply prior to carrying out any cleaning or decontaminating. DO NOT SATURATE PRODUCT! IF THE PRODUCT GETS SATURATED DURING CLEANING, THIS COULD ACCELERATE CORROSION, REDUCING PRODUCTS LENGTH OF SERVICE. General Cleaning To get rid of any dust or marks on the surface the Faux Leather MUST be wiped DAILY with a moist soft cotton cloth.

Butter, oil, grease stains Wipe excess butter, oil or grease off the surface with a clean 100% Cotton white dry cloth.
  • Page 16 If DECONTAMINATING the couch then repeat steps above using a dilute Hypochlorite & warm water mixture (mixed at 10,000ppm) instead of warm water and soap. It is crucial that any staining is treated as soon as possible but never later than 24 hours.

    4. Maintenance WARNING! Disconnect the couch from the mains power supply prior to carrying out any maintenance. All electrical maintenance should be performed by a suitably qualified person.
