    1. General Information CONGRATULATIONS on the purchase of your new SEERS MEDICAL product. If these operating instructions are adhered to, the product will provide many years of safe use. If these operating instructions are not followed, your warranty could be invalid! Always keep these Instructions for Use available for reference.

    2. How To Use Wheel System - Retractable Wheel Design Lever Down Lever Up Wheels ENGAGED and ON Wheels RETRACTED and OFF WARNING! This product is not designed for patient transportation. Ensure wheels are retracted/locked prior to patient transfer or treatment. Disconnect the electric lead prior to re-locating the product, ensuring the lead is not trapped in the mechanism.

    Adjustable Foot CAUTION! Ensure Wheels are retracted before adjusting the adjustable foot. Ensure the wheels are retracted and off. Adjust the foot by turning clockwise or anti clockwise until the couch is stable on all legs. Secure the foot by tightening the nut until it locks against the threaded cap.
  • Page 9 Adjusting the Height of the Couch Hydraulic Elevation (-DFL) To elevate the couch, push the pedal downwards with your foot. Repeat until correct height is achieved. To lower couch, raise the pedal upwards, by putting your toe underneath the lever, lifting the lever upwards until the couch reaches the desired height.
  • Page 10 Raising the Couch 1. To elevate the couch, push the UP button on the hand or foot switch. 2. Once the desired height is achieved, release the button. 3. On releasing the button, the couch is locked at the desired position. Lowering the Couch To lower couch, push the DOWN button on the hand or foot switch.
  • Page 11 Adjusting the backrest & footrest Gas Assisted Sections To raise the backrest, simply grasp the release lever towards the upholstery and adjust the backrest to the angle desired. Releasing the lever automatically locks the section at that angle. To lower, grasp the lever again, and lower the backrest to the required angle.

  • Page 15 j. Upper Limb Support 1. To adjust position of Arm Support Pad, undo the locking clamp on underside of pad anticlockwise. 2. Once loosened, move pad to desired position and re-tighten locking clamp to secure. 3. If height adjustment is required, undo the locking clamp on the vertical stem.
  • Page 16 l. Locking & Un-Locking the Sliding Frame (Traction Couches Only) Sliding Frame Open (pic 1) Sliding Frame Closed WARNING! Ensure when using the Pelvic and Thoracic Harnesses, the Sliding Top Frame must be released before applying traction.

Traction Mount (Traction Tables Only) To raise the support table platform, unscrew the height adjustment clamp positioned on the underside of the traction platform on the vertical stem. The Platform will raise to desired height, once at the desired height, re-tighten the height adjusting clamp to secure.
  • Page 18 n. Counter Traction Straps for Traction Tables (Model No. ST6068) Two anchor brackets are provided for securing the thoracic counter traction straps. The brackets are held into position by tightening the grub screws onto the box section of the table. The brackets must be fitted with the hole situated in the bar pointing outwards.
  • Page 19 o. Flexion Stool (Model No. ST6069) WARNING! The Flexion Stool is not designed as a seat and has a maximum load of 35kg.   • Page 20 p. Cervical Sitting Unit (Model No. St6071) Traction Tables Only Locate the Cervical Sitting Attachment into the mounting bracket located on the backrest of the couch. Secure in position with the locking lever, by rotating clockwise into the desired hole. WARNING! When not carrying out cervical traction, remove the locking lever from the couch, so as to not interfere when using the rolling traction top.

    3. Cleaning Instructions WARNING! Disconnect the couch from the mains power supply prior to carrying out any cleaning or decontaminating. DO NOT SATURATE PRODUCT! IF THE PRODUCT GETS SATURATED DURING CLEANING, THIS COULD ACCELERATE CORROSION, REDUCING PRODUCTS LENGTH OF SERVICE. General Cleaning To get rid of any dust or marks on the surface the Faux Leather MUST be wiped DAILY with a moist soft cotton cloth.

Butter, oil, grease stains Wipe excess butter, oil, or grease off the surface with a clean 100% Cotton white dry cloth.
  • Page 23 If DECONTAMINATING the couch then repeat steps above using a dilute Hypochlorite & warm water mixture (mixed at 10,000ppm) instead of warm water and soap. It is crucial that any staining is treated as soon as possible but never later than 24 hours.

    4. Maintenance WARNING! Disconnect the couch from the mains power supply prior to carrying out any maintenance. All electrical maintenance should be performed by a suitably qualified person.
