Description
RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Drives) array is a system that combines multiple
disks together to improve data storage performance and redundancy.RAID array can
provide data redundancy backup, improve read/write speed, increase storage capacity and
other functions.
Background initialization means the array will still be created, and you can still write new
data onto the array. But when your array requires rebuilding, residual data left behind may
interfere with the process.
BIOS is an acronym for Basic Input/Output System, which is a type of firmware that is
solidified on a computer's motherboard and is used to initialize hardware devices and boot
the operating system. The BIOS is responsible for connecting the communication between
computer hardware and the operating system, and provides basic input/output functions.
A cache refers to a cache area in a computer system that is used to temporarily store data.
When a computer accesses data on disk, that data is temporarily stored in the disk cache
in order to speed up subsequent accesses.
A property that indicates the amount of storage space on a disk or virtual disk.
A chip that controls the transfer of data between the microprocessor and memory or
between the microprocessor and a peripheral device.
Diagnostic view will appear when Driver or HPT card does not effect, you can see the
system information and HPT Product information in this view
A disk generally refers to a storage device that is used to store files and data. This
includes solid-state disks (SSDs), which are both used to store data and allow computers
to read and write data.
Foreground initializing the array will completely zero out the data on the disks, meaning
the disk will be completely wiped and every bit on the disk will be set to 0.
Firmware is a class of software in embedded systems that is typically stored in the
device's non-volatile memory and is responsible for controlling the device's hardware
operations. It provides the basic operating system for the device and is usually
preinstalled in the device.
Host Bus Adapter is a hardware device used to connect a computer host to a storage
device. It acts as an interface between the host computer and the storage device, enabling
them to communicate directly. It provides high-speed data transfer, which improves the
performance and reliability of the storage device.
Host interface refers to the interface through which a computer system or device
communicates with other devices outside the system.Host interface can be used to transfer
data, receive commands, control devices, and other operations, allowing different devices
to interact and communicate with each other.
The process of making a redundant virtual disk consistent.
