Possible causes if the function of KEYLESS-GO is
impaired:
High voltage power lines

Mobile phones

Electronic devices (notebooks, tablets)

Shielding due to metal objects or induction

loops for electrical gate systems or automatic
barriers
Make sure that there is sufficient distance

between the SmartKey and the potential
source of interference.

The vehicle is locked automatically when the
vehicle is switched on and the wheels are
turning faster than walking pace.
Activate or deactivate
Automatic Door

In the following situations, there is a danger of
being locked out when the function is activated:
The vehicle is being towed or pushed.

If the vehicle is being tested on a roller dyna-
R
mometer.
Opening and closing the front convenience doors
& WARNING Risk of becoming trapped dur-
ing automatic closing of the front conveni-
ence doors
Parts of the body could become trapped.
There may be people or animals in the closing
area.
Make sure that nobody is in the vicinity
#
of the closing area.
Use one of the following options to stop
#
the closing process:
Press the Ü or s button on
R
the SmartKey.
Driver's door: depress the brake
R
pedal.
Opening and closing
Lock.
Pull the inner or outer door handles.

Push against or pull the door.
R
Touch the touch screen in the conve-
R
nience menu in the multimedia sys-
tem.
* NOTE Always observe the following during
automatic opening and closing of the front
convenience doors
Your view of your surroundings may be restric-
ted.
Make sure that there are no persons,
#
animals or objects in the area of the
doors when opening and closing.
When opening, pay particular attention
#
to low objects and obstacles in the side
window area.
