2.9 USB Port

The router features one USB 3.0 host port equipped with a USB-A type socket, supporting USB Mass
Storage devices and serial converters. For guidance on integrating an unsupported chip, please consult
the
Commands and Scripts
Unsupported Serial Converter Chip.
The USB port is automatically disabled to prevent damage during an overload condition, which occurs
when a connected device draws excessive current. Normal operation is restored after rebooting the router.
Mounting USB Flash Drive to the System
To access a USB flash drive from within the router's system, it must first be mounted. Follow the steps
below:
• Execute the dmesg command to display the list of recently connected devices.
• Identify the USB flash drive in the output of the command, typically noted as:
sda: sda1
• Use the mount command to attach the drive to the mnt directory:
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt
