    All of the engines are equipped with electronically controlled fuel management (EMS), turbocharger, charge air cooler, thermostatically controlled cooling systems and electronic speed control.     EMS is an electronic system with CAN communication (Controller Area Network) for diesel engine control. The system has been developed by Volvo Penta and includes fuel regulation and diagnostic functions. The system consists of a control unit, injectors, a number of sensors that supply the control unit with information, and connectors for diagnostics and functional checks.
