Press on the rear area of fuel filler flap 1.

Turn the fuel filler cap anti-clockwise and

remove it.

Insert fuel filler cap into the holder from

above.
Completely insert the pump nozzle into the
#
tank filler neck, hook in place and refuel.
Only fill the fuel tank until the pump nozzle
#
switches off.

Vehicles with a diesel engine: the tank filler
neck is designed for refuelling at diesel filling
pumps.
To prevent refuelling with incorrect fuel, your
vehicle is equipped with a blocking mecha-
nism. This function may be deactivated in
some countries owing to local circumstances.

Benz service centre.

Vehicles with a diesel engine: do not run the
fuel tank dry.
If the fuel tank is completely empty, fill it with
at least 5 l of diesel before starting the vehi-
cle.

Vehicles with a diesel engine: use a filler neck
with a large diameter for vehicles with a diesel
engine when topping up fuel from a fuel can.

Otherwise, the filler neck cannot slide into the
tank.
Replace the cap on the filler neck and turn

clockwise until it engages audibly.
Close fuel filler flap 1.

order for the exhaust gas aftertreatment to func-

If you open the AdBlue
tank, small amounts of
ammonia vapour may be released. Only fill the
