Pull seat release loop until seat backrest

2 can be folded forward.
Let go of release loop.

Fold seat backrest 2 forward as far as it will
#
go.
Push seat 3 forward horizontally as far as it
#
will go.
Folding back
Push seat 3 back horizontally until it reaches
#
the seat position that was previously set.
Fold seat backrest 2 back until it engages.

If the seat backrest is not engaged, this will be
shown on the multifunction display on the
instrument cluster. A warning tone will also
sound.

If the set seat position can no longer be reached,
e.g. because of luggage in the rear footwell or
after occupants have entered the rear of the vehi-
cle:
Pull seat release loop 1 again and fold seat
#
backrest 2 back until it engages.
The seat will lock in the new fore-and-aft posi-
tion.
Folding the front seat backrest forwards/back
(vehicles with memory function)
& WARNING Risk of injury when the seat
backrest is not engaged
If the seat backrest is not engaged, it may fold
forwards and the vehicle occupant will be
pressed into the seat belt.
The seat belt cannot provide the intended pro-
tection and could cause additional injury to
the vehicle occupant.
Before each journey, make sure that the

seat backrest is fully engaged as descri-
bed.
