CRANKSHAFT GEAR
DISASSEMBLY /REASSEMBLY
DISASSEMBLY
Mark a line on the crankshaft, the timing gear, and the governor
drive gear. Set the bearing separator (commercially available) on
the bottom of the governor drive gear or timing gear. Press out
the gears from the crankshaft
REASSEMBLY
1) GOVERNOR DRIVE GEAR
Using the old governor drive gear for reference, mark a line at the
same position on the new governor drive gear.
Using the special tools, press in the gvernor drive gear, so that its
mark lines up with the mark on the crankshaft.

ATTACHMENT, 35 mm I. D.

2) TIMING GEAR
Using the old timing gear for reference, mark a line at the same
position on the new timing gear.
Using the special tools, press in the timing gear, so that its mark
lines up with the mark on the crankshaft.
