A compound mitre cut is the combination of
mitre and bevel cut. Here the workpiece is cut
at an angle other the 90° across its width and
at the same time cut at an angle other than
90° vertical through its surface.
Starting position:
- Sawhead fully lifted
(if necessary, pull out locking pin);
- Set turntable to desired position.
- Tilt sawhead to desired bevel angle.
The cutting operation is the same as described in
„standard cross cuts".
Care and maintenance
A
Danger!
Prior to all servicing:
- Switch machine OFF.
- Unplug power cable.
- Wait until the saw has come to a complete
stop.
· Check that all safety devices are operational
again after each service.
· Replace defective parts, especially of safety
devices, only with genuine replacement parts.
Parts not tested and approved by the equipment
maker can cause unforeseen damage.
· Repair and maintenance work other than
described in this section shall only be carried out
by qualified specialists.
Saw blade change
A
Danger!
Risk of injury, even with the blade at stand-
still. Wear gloves when changing blades.
On re-assembly observe direction of rotation
of inner blade collar, saw blade and outer
blade collar!
2.7
1. Unscrew the four screws on the right-hand side
of the blade housing, and remove the left hous-
ing half.
2. To lock the saw blade, put the saw blade wrench
supplied with both pins into the outer blade col-
lar.
3. Loosen the arbor bolt with box wrench (Note:
left-hand thread!).
4. Take outer blade collar, saw blade and inner
blade collar off the saw spindle.
5. Clean clamping surfaces of:
- saw spindle,
- saw blade,
- outer blade collar,
- inner blade collar.
A
Danger!
Do not use cleaning agents (e.g. to remove
resin residue) that could corrode the light
metal components of the saw; the stability of
the saw would be adversely affected.
6. Put on inner blade collar –
observe direction of rotation: the side with the
groove must face the saw blade!
