Switching Functional Description
The 40-884A is constructed from a set of 4:1 tree multiplexers, each relay being a solid state RF switch. The matrix
arrangement permits any X to be connected to any Y and four concurrent paths are supported. It does not permit Y
to Y or X to X connections and does not permit X to multiple Y or Y to multiple X. This arrangement, common to most
microwave matrices, ensures that the module preserves the bandwidth of the switches used.
