Adjusting
the sound quality
YOU can change the sound quality of your °I_/by adjusting the bass,
treble, _d balance.
To adjust the sound quality:
1. Press MENU.
2. Press < or ), to highlight the AUDIO menu.
3. Press I or s' to highlight the quality you want to adjust (BASS,
TREBLE, or BALANCE).
4. Press 4 or ), to adjust the leveh
• 4 makes the sound quality weaker or decreases the balance in
the right channel, depending on the item selected.
• ) makes the sound quality stronger or increases the balance in
the left channel, depending on the item selected.

sound feature
°I_le surround sound f_iture expands the audio listening fidd wider _d
dcx_perto create exceptional sound quality from the °I_/sp_tkers.
°I_lisf_ature uses stereo signals from a °I_/broadcast or video
input.
To turn the surround
sound feature on:
1. Press MENU.
2. Press < or ), to highlight the AUDIO menu.
3. If you have not already done so, select STEREO mode (press i or
s' to highlight MTS, _d then press < or ), to highlight STR).
4. Press i or !' to highlight SURROUND.
5. Press ,( or ), to highlight ON.

To turn the surround
sound feature off:
Highlight OFF in step 5 above. Note: In general, you can leave the
surround sound f_ature on because the °I_z will automatically output
surround stereo or monaural sound, depending on the broadcast or
video type.
