Channel labels
YOUcan assign labels to a maximum of 32 channels, lkach channel
label can have a maximum of four ch_acters.
For example, if channel 8 is your public television station, you can
create the label "PBS" for that ch_nel.
The label "PBS" *','illthen
appear on-screen when you tune the °P/to channd 8.
Channel labels appe_ on-screen above the channel number every time
you turn the °I_Von, ch_ge the channel, or press RECALL.
To create a channel label:
1. °ILme the °I_r to the channel you want to label.
2. Press MENU.
3. Press 4 or ). to highlight the SET UP menu.
4. Press I or I' to highlight CH LABEL.

5. Press 4 or _ to display the CH LABEL menu. SETICLEAR will
be highlighted.
6. Press 4 or _ to highlight SET.
7. Press I' to highlight LABEL.

8. Press _ or ), repeatedly to scan through the list of available
characters until the desired chaacter
appears in the first space.
9. Press MENU.
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 to enter the rest of the chaactcrs.

11. Press EXIT.
12. Repeat steps 1-11 for tip to 32 channels.
To erase a channd label:
1. Select the ch_nel
whose label you want to er_e.
2. Press
MENU.
3. Press _ or I_to highlight the SET UP menu.
4. Press A or I' to highlight CH LABEL.
5. Press _ or _ to displ W the CH LABEL menu. SETICLEAR
will
be highlighted.
6. Press _ or I_to highlight CLEAR.
7. Press MENU.
8. Repeat steps 1-7 to erase other channel labels, or press EXIT to
return to normal 'P/ viewing.
