Knife blade replacement
Use the following procedure to safely remove the knife
cartridge for blade replacement
Open the arms at least 1 foot from their fully closed
position then shut off the vehicle engine and remove
the key.
WARNING
Open the rear access cover (A) on the outside of the
arm and disconnect the rod end of the cylinder from the
knife cartridge. Place one of the keeper pins (C) from
the cylinder through the hole at the center of the knife
cartridge where the blade extends out. This will help
prevent the blade accidentally extending outward while
the cartridge is removed.
If equipped with the net wrap hook, open the front
access cover (B) and disconnect the struts from the
rocker assembly. The struts will be removed with the
knife cartridge.

The knife blade is very
sharp! Wear proper
protective equipment
while handling the knife.
If the blade is cycled while
the safety pin is in place,
irreparable damage will occur.
