CUTTING CROWN MOLDING AGAINST THE
MITER FENCE (FIG. 42):
a. Set the bevel angle at 0° and the miter angle
at 45°, to either the left or the right as needed.
b. Lay the workpiece on the saw with its bottom
edge resting at a natural angle flush against
the fence and its top edge resting flush
against the miter table.
c. Secure the workpiece against miter fence
with a clamp. Make sure that the workpiece
is clamped firmly against the table and the
fence.
d. Before turning on the saw, perform a dry run
of the cutting operation to make sure that no
problems will occur when the cut is made.
e. Slide the saw arm toward the operator.

CUTTING THE LARGEST CROWN MOLDING
a. Set the miter to 45° Left, bevel 0°.
b. Release the slide-rail lock knob.
c. Press down the head assembly, the blade
guard roller stopped at the indicated position
marked on the miter arm.
d. Lock the slide-rail lock knob.
e. Activate the switch. Lower the head assembly
and make your cut.

f. Activate the main switch. Lower the head
assembly and make your cut.
g. Wait until the blade comes to a complete stop
before returning the saw arm to the raised
position and/or removing the workpiece.
