SLIDING FENCES (FIG. 25a & 25b)
The sliding fences on the saw help to secure
the workpiece when making cuts.
Loosen the sliding fence lock lever at each side
by pushing down the lever, then slide the fences
in or out to install or remove them.

LONG WORKPIECE SUPPORT

additional support for a workpiece that is longer
or wider than the basic miter saw table or to
help feed, support or pull the workpiece.
Table extensions have been provided for the left
and the right side of the saw. They have been
installed properly at the factory. They may be
adjusted but may not be removed.
To adjust table extensions:
a. Turn the table extension lock lever outward to
unlock the table extension (Fig. 26a).
b. Move the table extension inward or outward
depending on your application (Fig. 26b).
c. Tighten the lock lever by pushing it inward to
secure the table extension place.
d. If the table extension lock lever cannot be
locked, lift the lever up and rotate it outward
to adjust the tension (Fig. 26c). Then try again
and repeat this step if necessary.
Long workpieces have a
tendency to tip over unless
ALWAYS SUPPORT LONG
PIECES. Never use another
When the desired position of the sliding fences
is reached, tighten the lock lever by lifting it up
to secure it.
