4 Safety instructions

General safety
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
• Installation, maintenance, and repairs of the device must only be carried out by qualified person-
nel who are familiar with the risks involved when handling refrigerant and air conditioning systems
as well as the relevant regulations. For repair service contact the service center in your country (see
dometic.com/dealer).
If the device's power cable is damaged, the power cable must be

replaced by the manufacturer, a service agent, or a similarly quali-
fied person in order to prevent safety hazards.
WARNING! Fire hazard
• Do not use the device near flammable fluids.
• Ensure that no combustible objects are stored or installed near the air outlet. A distance of at least
50 cm must be kept.
• Do not undo the upper cover of the device in the event of a fire. Use approved extinguishing agents
instead. Do not use water to extinguish fires.
• The refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit is highly flammable and in the event of a leakage com-
bustible gases could build up if the device is in a small room. In the event of any damage to the re-
frigerant circuit: Keep open flames and potential ignition sources away from the device. Ventilate
the room well. Switch off the device.
The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuously op-

erating ignition sources such as open flames, an operating gas ap-
pliance or an operating electric heater.
