Figure2-8 Grounding the router when it is mounted in a rack Grounding method for workbench mounting To ground the router when it is mounted on a workbench: Remove the grounding screw from the grounding point on the router. Use the grounding screw to attach the ring terminal (M4) of the grounding cable to the grounding point on the router. -

Connecting interface cables Connecting an Ethernet cable to a copper port Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the copper port on the router. Connect the other end of the cable to the copper port on the peer device. The copper ports on the router are MDI/MDIX autosensing. -

To connect a power cord: Connect the DC power cord connector to the DC input receptacle on the router. Fasten the screws on the connector to secure the connector to the receptacle. -
