    HRIC modules The RA5300 router uses modular design and supports a wide range of HRIC modules. These HRIC interface modules provide Ethernet fiber ports and copper ports of different data rates. HRIC-CLGQ2 Introduction The HRIC-CLGQ2 is a 100/50 Gbps Ethernet optical interface module. It can operate in 2-port 50GBASE-R mode or 1-port 100GBASE-R mode.

  • Page 23: Connecting Cables To Ethernet Copper Ports

    LC connector—Align the connector with the transceiver module and push it into the  transceiver module slightly until it clicks into the place, as shown in Figure2-1. MPO connector—Insert the MPO fiber connector horizontally into the transceiver module.  Push the MPO fiber connector into the transceiver module slightly until it clicks into the place, as shown in Figure2-2.
  • Page 24 Category-5 enhanced cables feature low attenuation and crosstalk, providing higher attenuation to crosstalk ratio (ACR), less delay error and higher performance than category-5 cables. Category-5 enhanced cables are mainly used in 1000 Mbps Ethernet networks. Category-6 cables provide a transmission frequency of 1 MHz to 250 MHz, and improve the performance on crosstalk and return loss.
  • Page 25 interface module supports MDI/MDIX autosensing, you can use a straight-through cable or crossover cable to connect the port. Examine the status LED for the Ethernet port to verify the cable connectivity. For the description of the port LEDs, see the corresponding interface module part in this manual.
