Connection via switch
Connect a GigE camera via one or a cascade of switches to the host PC.
Advantage: You can extend the total line length. The length of each cable segment can be up to 100 m. Use
a PoE switch to directly power your camera without additional I/O cable.
Disadvantage: If you use a switch to connect multiple cameras to a single host PC, they must share the
bandwidth of the single connection between switch and PC.
