7. Connect the power supply to the camera. When doing so, pay attention to the respective requirements:
When supplying power via GigE connection: the

9. Connect the camera to a Gigabit Ethernet port on the PC either directly or using switches. Please note the

5.1 Prerequisites for installation

Host PC: IDS NXT cockpit is currently available for Windows 64-bit. You should have an up-to-date graphics
card driver installed for an optimal display.
I/O cable: When using the I/O interface the following applies: The maximum length of the I/O cable is 30 m.
The cable must be shielded.
GigE cable: Use Cat5e type cables or better for the complete connection between your camera and the host
PC. The cable length of each segment must not exceed 100 m. A segment is in this case a continuous cable
connection between two network devices (e.g. PC, camera, switch).
The requirements for setting up the camera in the network can be found in section

Always store camera and lens with the protective cap mounted.
