Part Names and Functions
Give priority in determining the effects status
(on/off) to the foot switches:
LATCH
The foot switches are given priority in determining the
current effects status (on or off), regardless of the effect on/
off status stored in memory.
The effects now cannot be turned on and off from the VGA-5.

In this case, you can check the effects' on/off status with the
FS-5L's indicators.
* Connect BOSS FS-5L foot switches (optional). However, when
using the Tap function, connect a BOSS FS-5U (optional) to
DELAY TAP (RING).
* When a single foot switch is connected with one cable to the
DELAY jack, the switch is used for switching the delay on and
off

Notes Regarding Foot Switches
* Connecting a foot switch while the power is on may switch
effects on or off, switch memories, or cause the VGA-5 to
switch between Manual and Memory modes.
* When using the FS-5U or FS-5L foot switches (optional), set
the polarity switch as shown below.
